For instance, to evaluate Paralda in a single department when the current servers
are Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino, you can leave them untouched.

For a more definite and long term solution, there are the Paralda Connectors
to communicate data with existing SAP, CRM, management systems or email clients.

For example, it is possible to transfer all of your address book data from previous mail clients such as Outlook, Notes or AppleMail to Paralda Relations. This will ensure the function and advantages of a central Client Relation database but still allows people to use their existing email client.

Migration Scenarios

A good test of migration with Paralda would be to deploy it in a single department of your company to create a manageable and convenient migration period for system administrators and users. An even better way would be deploying Paralda in a new company or an ad hock change overnight during system maintenance periods. Because changes like this are not always feasible or possible, Paralda offers its connectors.

Existing Exchange, Domino and Anti-Spam Solutions in a Paralda Evaluation

Paralda can simply tag along and use conventional Exchange or Domino accounts for that period. The newly added conventional accounts will serve only as a small mail buffer and in combination with Paralda providing a mechanism to allow easy integration and/or migration.

We stress that this should not be a long term solution but merely a way to leave your current IT infrastructure untouched and still get acquainted with Paralda. There are better and more straightforward ways to deploy Paralda in your organization.

Paralda does not need products such as Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino to function properly. The reason for this is that the mechanism was made available within Paralda for we realized that sudden and major changes in your IT are not always possible as we had mentioned elsewhere on this page.

To get the most out of Paralda Spam Control, you should make some minor changes on your conventional Anti-Spam solution applying only for the new Paralda mail addresses. The minor change is to 'Mark Only' instead of 'Delete/Defer' for the new Paralda addresses. This will ensure that all (Spam)Email is received by Paralda.

Again, this will only affect the Paralda addresses and not your existing non-Paralda users.
